Thank you for your interest in my psychotherapy practice. I am a NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years experience and a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City. I have had the pleasure of working with people of diverse ages, faiths, ethnic/racial backgrounds and sexual orientations in a wide variety of settings including family counseling agencies, mental health clinics, public schools, senior citizen centers, and day treatment programs for adults with mental and/or physical disabilities. My work has also included supervision of social work interns.
My manner is warm, accepting, non-judgmental and affirming. With great care and intuitive insight, I tailor my approach to the individual needs, interests and concerns of each client. In our sessions, we focus on the here-and-now and also give attention to your earlier life experiences. In addition to "talk therapy", I offer the option of integrating self-expression through reflective writing/journaling, art, poetry, and/or music. When working with children (ages 9 and up), I primarily use play therapy and the expressive arts.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss your particular concerns or schedule an appointment.
