A warm welcome and thank you for visiting my website.
I am a NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years experience and a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City. I have had the great privilege of working with people of diverse ages, faiths, sexual orientations and ethnic/racial backgrounds in a wide variety of settings including: family counseling agencies, mental health clinics, public schools, senior citizen centers, and day treatment programs for adults with mental and/or physical disabilities. My work has also included supervision of social work interns.

My style as a therapist can be described as gentle, empathic, interactive and intuitive. I believe in the interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit and that everyone flourishes when they feel valued, accepted, deeply known and understood. I tailor my approach to the individual needs, interests and concerns of each client. In our sessions, we focus on the here-and-now and also give attention to your earlier life experiences . In addition to "talk therapy", I offer the option of integrating self-expression through reflective writing/journaling, music, poetry, and/or art. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your particular concerns or to schedule an appointment.
