Thank you for your interest in my practice. I am a NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years experience and a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City. I have had the great pleasure of working with people df diverse ages, faiths, ethnic/racial backgrounds and sexual orientations in a wide variety of settings including family counseling agencies, mental health clinics, public schools, day treatment programs and senior citizen centers. My work has also included supervision of social work interns.
My manner is warm, empathic, non-judgmental and affirming. The treatment approach I use is tailored to the individual needs, interests and concerns of each client. In addition to insight-oriented "talk therapy", for clients who prefer a more creative or poetic approach, I offer the option of integrating self-expression through reflective writing/journaling, art and/or music.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss your particular concerns, or to schedule an appointment.
